WHO IS CLEVER?

I am one of the most simple yet complex sisters you’ll ever meet. I am unpredictable and unprecedented. I’m passionate and honest. I love real hip hop, brown skin, nappy hair, candied yams, children and warm weather. I am here because I believe things are not where they should be but that WE can make them better. My motivation is the mental, political, spiritual and economic liberation of Black people. Yes, we have a Black president but we still have far to go. I want to see Black people loving ourselves. For those who may be confused, love of oneself does NOT equal hatred or exclusion of another. For years society has bombarded ALL people with negative images of African-Americans. It is the results of those images that necessitate the importance of strong affirmations of self-love in the community.

Cleverspeaks.com is here to dispel negative stereotypes about Black culture by showing that we are not the one-dimensional group that mainstream media portrays us to be. I am here to highlight positive people and experiences in the Black community and provoke positive thought and dialogue between Black men and women and ALL people who are interested.
